Reading an Email Message

To read an email message, click on the "From" or "Subject" line in the message list, and the message will be displayed. Once open, you can read, reply to, delete, move, forward, forward as attachment, and reply to the message by selecting the appropriate option in the message window.

Web-Based Email enables you to view the message in two formats: Message body or a printer-friendly version. Clicking the printer icon on the message will open the printable version.

Email addresses and URLs embedded in the message work as live links. This means that clicking on a URL or an email address within the message will open the Web site or the message-composition window, respectively.

Web-Based Email's message window options and elements are listed below:

Reply:  Reply to the message. "Re:" is appended to the original subject line and placed in the subject field. If you prefer a different subject line, enter it manually. The text of the original message is quoted in the text box.

Reply to All:  Same as above, but the reply is sent to all addresses listed in the header (including "CC" (Carbon Copy) addresses.

Forward:  Allows you to forward the message. Clicking the button will open the "Compose" window. Enter the email address(es) of the desired recipient(s) of the forwarded message. "Fwd:" is appended to the original subject line. A message may be forwarded as is, or you can add comments and notations in the text window.

Forward as Attachment:  Same as above, but the forwarded message will be included as an attachment, and the subject line in the "Compose New Email" window is left blank.

Delete:  Deletes the message and sends it to the Trash folder.

Move to Folder ... :  Allows you to move the message to a different mailbox folder.
