Creating and Editing Folders
You can store email messages in different folders. This is particularly useful if you have a lot of email and want to keep it organized. Current mailbox folders are listed below the program logo in the left Web-Based Email frame. The "Folders" menu item enables you to create and edit Web-Based Email mailbox folders.
You can also create new mail folders by utilizing the "New Folder" data entry field in the left-side column of the Web-Based Email window.
Clicking "Folders" will open Web-Based Email's "Folder Management" window.
Folder management options and elements are listed below:
Current Folder List
This list displays every current mailbox folder and the number of unread and read messages in each of them. By default, the main folder — called "Inbox" — contains four subfolders: Bulk Mail, Drafts, Sent Items, and Trash. Any new folder added to the inbox will be listed below the existing folders.
Add Folder
To add a folder, select "Add Folder" from the "Folder Management" menu. Next, enter a folder name and indicate if the folder should be a subfolder of an existing mailbox folder. Then click "Add Folder."
Move Folder
To move a mailbox folder, select the folder and click "Move Folder" from the "Folder Management" menu. Next, from the drop-down menu, select a new location for the folder and click "Move Folder."
Rename Folder
To rename a mailbox folder, choose the folder, then select "Rename Folder" from the "Folder Management" menu; then enter the new folder name and click "Rename Folder."
Delete Folder
To delete a folder, select the folder and choose "Delete Folder" from the "Folder Management" menu. Then click "Delete Folder."
Note that certain folders — Inbox, Bulk Mail, Drafts, Sent Items and Trash — cannot be deleted.
Move Messages
To move messages from one folder to another, choose the folder that contains the message(s) you wish to move and select "Move Messages" from the "Folder Management" menu. Next, select a destination folder from the drop-down menu; then click "Move Messages."
