File attachments can be downloaded and saved to your local drive, or they can be viewed directly from the host message.
To open an attachment to an email message:

Open the message.

In the "Attachments" area at the bottom of the message window, click on the file name, the "Download" button or the "Quick View" button. If installed, the McAfee virus scanner will analyze the file and display the results. The former two options allow you to either save the file to your local machine or open it from its current location. The latter option will automatically open the file from its current location.

If you decide to download the file to a local drive, click "Save" and define a location for the downloaded file.

When you have completed downloading the attachment you can open it from its new location.
